Etching on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: fragment with lettering.
Sheet size: 22 x 11,3 cm. (8,7 x 4,4 inch). Image size: 21 x 8,5 cm. (8,3 x 3,3 inch).

Made by ‘Lucas van Uden’ after ‘Frans van de Wijngaerde’. Lucas van Uden (1595-1673) was active in Antwerp as a landscape artist. His etched work consists mainly of small landscape prints. Frans van de Wijngaerde (1614-1679) was an etcher and important publisher from Antwerp.

Condition: Good, given age. Left side of print trimmed, re-attached and backed with acid-free tape on rear. Remains of paper on rear from attachment. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
