A serene landscape etching featuring a stone bridge surrounded by trees and open terrain.

Made by Hermanus van Brussel after own design.

Medium: Etching on hand laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 18.6 x 11.6 cm (7.32 x 4.57 inch). Image size: 18 x 11.4 cm. (7.09 x 4.49 inch).

Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing, creasing and soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Hermanus van Brussel (1763-1815) was a landscape painter and graphic artist from Haarlem. He was a student of J.B. Brandhof and Ed. Hendriks. He also painted decorations for the Amsterdam theatre and the Loo Royal Palace.
