Description
Jupiter is raised by nymphs on Mount Ida. They feed him with the milk of the goat Amalthea. A shepherd gives him honeycombs. In the margin a three-line caption in Dutch.

Condition: good, given age. Vertical middle fold and crease. Light staining. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography artist: Barend Graat (1628, Amsterdam – 1709) was a Dutch painter of history- and altarpieces, landscapes and portraits in the Golden Age. He is also known as a printmaker and draughtsman.
