BACKGROUND INFORMATION

From ‘Lexikon Chaldaicum …’, published in 1639 in Basel Ludwig Konig.

Biography engraver: Jakob von der Heyden (1573-1635) was a notable German engraver, renowned for his detailed portrait work and collaboration with prominent artists of his time. He worked in a style that emphasized fine line detail and ornate design.

Biography artist: Johannes Screta (c.1590/1600-c.1651), an artist known for his detailed depictions and collaborations on engraved portraits, contributed to the academic legacy through his portraits of scholars and theologians in the early 17th century.
