Originally published by Ward & Co., April 1799, at Mr. Say’s No. 78 Charlotte Street, Portland Chapel, London. This is propably a later impression on dated paper 1903.

Biography engraver: James Ward (1769-1859) was a British engraver and painter, celebrated for his mezzotints and later for his animal paintings. He was among the most important mezzotinters of his generation.
Biography artist: John Hoppner (1758-1810) was a leading English portrait painter of the late 18th century. He served as portraitist to the Prince of Wales and was noted for his depictions of children.
