Two elaborately carved vases, one dedicated to the goddess Galatea, the other to sea Tritons. Both are placed on stone pillars with a view of a grand palace or temple in the background. People can be seen strolling across the grounds.

Made by Johann Adam Delsenbach after Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach.

Medium: Hand-colored engraving, copper engraving (Kopergravure) on Hand-laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 47 x 36 cm (18.5 x 14.17 inch). Image size: 41.5 x 28.5 cm. (16.34 x 11.22 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Restored, with a mended tear at the top of the sheet. Vertical fold as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
