Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing, soiling and creasing. Some staining. Remains of tape from attachment. Plate losely attached to carrier sheet (hand laid paper). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Published by Nicolas Langlois, rue Saint Jacques, Paris, mid-17th century.
Biography engraver: Gabriel Perelle (1604-1677), French engraver and draftsman known for his classical landscapes with figures. He trained under Simon Vouet and later directed a successful family workshop. Many of his plates were published by Parisian dealers including Langlois.
