Scene of the Punishment of Dirce, showing mythological characters from Roman antiquity, with a detailed portrayal of figures and a bull. After a sculpture by Apollonius of Tralles.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Vaccari.
Medium: Engraving on hand-laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 15 x 20 cm (5.91 x 7.87 inch). Image size: 14.5 x 19.5 cm. (5.71 x 7.68 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Slight foxing annd soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
