BACKGROUND INFORMATION
From a set of 50. “Il Callotto resuscitato,” “Neu eingerichtes Zwerchen Cabinet,” or “Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid” published by Wilhelmus Koning in Amsterdam in 1716. A second ed. was published in 1720 as part of ‘Tafereel der Dwaasheid’.

Biography engraver: Anna Folkema (1695-1708) was an Dutch engraver and miniaturist from Dokkum. She worked with her brother Jacob.
