Print Description

Condition: very good, given age. The print is in very good condition with sharp detailing and minimal wear around the edges. The paper shows slight age-related toning, but the engraving itself remains clear and well-preserved. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Theodorus Crajenschot (c.1716-1803) was a Dutch engraver known for his detailed architectural engravings and portraits, who was active in Amsterdam (1741-1803). He collaborated with several other artists, including Cornelis Bogerts (1745-1817), to create elaborate prints of famous Amsterdam landmarks, scenes, and people. Bogerts was also a Dutch draughtsman, engraver, etcher and lithographer, active in the late 18th century.
Biography artist: Pieter Barbiers (1717-1780) was a Dutch artist known for his work as a scenic designer and painter. His designs for the Amsterdam theater were highly regarded for their realism and detail. He contributed to many theatrical productions in the 18th century, and his work is still studied for its contributions to stagecraft.
