Biography engraver: Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich / Dietricy (1712-1774) was a German painter and printmaker from Weimar, known for his detailed etchings and paintings. His engravings in the style of Van Ostade and Rembrandt, both in spirit and skill, are seen as his best work. He made c. 200 etchings.
