Biography engraver: Adolf van der Laan (1684-1755) was a Dutch artist. He is known for his etchings. He worked in Amsterdam and Paris and was the master of Jan Punt. His works are significant contributions to Dutch art during his lifetime. Please note that there seems to be some confusion about his name as he is sometimes erroneously called Adriaen or Andries.
