Biography artist: Nicolaes de Bruyn (1571–1656) was a Flemish engraver and draughtsman active in Antwerp. He is known for highly detailed religious, allegorical, and historical engravings influenced by late Mannerist traditions. His prints were widely collected and frequently copied and reissued.
