Created in Augsburg, Germany, ca. 1750.
Biography engraver: Martin Elias Ridinger (1730-1781) and his brother of Johann Jakob Ridinger (1736-1784) both worked with their father Johann Elias Ridinger.
Biography artist: Johann Elias Ridinger (1698-1767) was a German painter, engraver, draughtsman and publisher. He is one of the most famous German engravers of animals, in particular horses, hunting scenes and dogs. He was trained in painting by Resch and Falch, and was taught engraving by Georg Philipp Rugendas.
