Biography engraver: Peltro William Tomkins (1760-1840) was an engraver and draughtsman, born in London. He was a son of William Tomkins (1730-1792), a landscape painter. William Hamilton (1751-1801) was an English painter and illustrator. He became well known for his paintings illustrating the plays of Shakespeare.
