Condition: good, given age. Light foxing, creasing, and soiling. Old folding, backed to even out. Paper separation at lwer en left plate marks, backed. A few small tears, backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Biography engraver: Pierre Charles Coqueret (1761–1851) was a French engraver and printmaker active during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He produced numerous portrait engravings and contributed to the dissemination of images of notable historical and military figures in post-Revolutionary France.
Biography artist: Hilaire Le Dru (1769–1840) was a French painter and draughtsman, known for portraiture and historical subjects. He exhibited at the Paris Salon and produced designs for engravings depicting prominent personalities of his time.
