Medium: Etching / engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 26 x 32 cm (10.24 x 12.6 inch). Image size: 24.8 x 30.5 cm. (9.76 x 12.01 inch).

Condition: very good, given age. Light creasing, foxing and soiling. Several small worm holes in margins only. Slight paper separation at bottom left plate edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Johann Elias Ridinger (1698-1767) was a prominent German painter, draughtsman and engraver, famed for his precise and dynamic depictions of animals and hunting scenes. He founded his own publishing house in Augsburg.
