Medium: Etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 20 x 13.5 cm (7.87 x 5.31 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Some paper tape on top rear from previous attachment. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Landschappen (series title); Amenissimae aliquot requculae (series title). Originally, the first states of the prints formed a series consisting of two parts of 26 prints each. The later states formed a series of five volumes of twelve prints each.

Biography engraver: Jan van de Velde the younger (1593 – ca. 1 November 1641) was a Dutch Golden Age painter and engraver of animal, landscape and still-life subjects. He was the son of Jan van de Velde the Elder and the father of the still life painter Jan Jansz van de Velde.
