Medium: Mezzotint engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 18.5 x 23.5 cm (7.28 x 9.25 inch). Image size: 17.6 x 22 cm. (6.93 x 8.66 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Small margin. Brown paper. Stains on reverse. Folds in lower corners. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Jan de Groot (1730-1800) was a Dutch engraver, painter, draughtman, writer.

Biography artist: Jan Boeckhorst or Johann Bockhorst (M?nster, c. 1604 ? Antwerp, 21 April 1668) was a German-born Flemish Baroque painter and draughtsman who worked most of his career in Antwerp.
