This attractive print was published in “La Turquie d’Europe et celle D’Asie hors la (…)” in 1771.
Biography artist: Rigobert Bonne (France, 1727?1795) was a Royal Cartographer to France in the office of the Hydrographer at Depot de la Marine. Bonne succeeded Jacques Bellin as Royal Cartographer to France in the office of the Hydrographer at the Dep?t de la Marine in 1773. Working in his official capacity, Bonne compiled some of the most detailed and accurate maps of the period.
