Map: ‘Sud-Afrika’. The map shows the entire south of the African continent, including South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland. These are all mentioned under old (colonial) monikers. This original antique map originates from the fifth edition of the famous German encyclopedia Meyers’ Konversationslexikon. The fifth edition was published between 1893-1901.Artists and Engravers: The original founder and publisher who initiated this famous encyclopedia was Joseph Meyer (1796-1856, Hildburghausen, Germany).

Condition: Very good, given age. Original middle fold, as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
