Medium: engraving/etching with hand colouring on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: lettering: Mr ? Langoumois ?.
Sheet size: 56 x 48 cm (22.05 x 18.9 inch). Image size: 43.5 x 32.5 cm. (17.13 x 12.8 inch).
Condition: fair, given age. Old colouring. Paper edges a bit irregular and occasionally chipped as usual. Paper loss near left middle, remargined and backed. Original fold as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This plate originates from: ‘Atlante Novissimo .’, by Antonia Zatta, published in Venice, 1793. .
Biography artist: Antonio Zatta (active 1757-1797) was the most prominent Italian map publisher of the late 18th and early 19th century. His firm, based in Venice, produced maps that mark an important transition from 18th to 19th century cartographic styles.
