Condition: very good, given age. Clean sheet, slight toning, minor signs of age. Crisp impression with sharp details. Light foxing, creasing and soiling. Original vertical fold as issued. . General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Published by Covens & Mortier, based on a design by Jacob van Geelkercken. First state published in 1657, with later editions appearing between 1721 and 1774.

Biography artist: Jacob van Geelkercken (active mid-17th century) was a Dutch cartographer, son of Nicolaes van Geelkercken, known for his detailed maps of Dutch cities.
