This attractive print was published by Guillaume Delisle (1675-1726) in Paris, 1710. He was a French cartographer from Paris. Delisle was the first to initiate a scientific comparative geography by using travelogues and the works of naturalists in his works. He published numerous maps, which differed from the earlier maps by elegance and sharpness. .
