Map : ‘Syn Hoocheyts Wiltbaen tot Dyren .’ (Game track of his Royal Highness in Dieren, 1648.) Copper engraved map of the wild game track near Dieren in the Netherlands. On the foreground is Rheden, Middachten Castle, Ellecom and Dieren. This plan originates from: ‘Geldersse Geschiedenissen …’ by A. van Slichtenhorst, published ca. 1654.Artists and Engravers: The author Arend van Slichtenhorst was born and worked in Arnhem. He studied law. The carthographer of this map is Nicolaes van Geelkercken (1585-1656), Dutch cartographer and surveyor.

Condition: Excellent. general age related toning. some light staining from handling. Falso fold line in top right.
