Description
‘SCHLACHT BEI ARCIS SUR AUBE, AM 21. MARZ 1814.’
This original antique plate shows the Battle of Arcis-sur-Aube in France (20?21 March 1814) saw an Imperial French army under Napoleon face a much larger Allied army led by Karl Philipp, Prince of Schwarzenberg during the War of the Sixth Coalition.

Steel engraving on wove (vellin) paper.
Condition: good, given age. Paper slightly browned and light foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
