Condition: good, given age. Slight discoloration on backing paper, overall well-preserved. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

With annotation on rear of carrier stating that is is a drawing by Madou, purchased at l’Atelier Larys, the brother in law of Madou. (cat. 20-3-12 no. 351).
Biography artist: Jean Baptiste Madou (1796-1877) was a Belgian painter and lithographer known for his genre scenes and historical subjects.
