Description

Subject: Atractive antique drawing, untitled. A rider on horseback leading a horse through a river. A third horse stands beside a stable in the right background. Signed in the top right corner (‘Molijn Fe.’) and again ‘J. Molijn fe.’ in the lower right margin corner. These are probably attributions of a later date. Based on the paper and watermark we date this drawing to c. 1750.

Condition: Very good, given age. Sheet with the drawing attached to carrier sheet. No margins around the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Medium: Washed ink drawing on hand laid paper with part of a Pro Patria watermark.

Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 35.6 x 28.9 cm. The image size is ca. 18.1 x 15.1 cm.

Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 14 x 11.4 inch. The image size is ca. 7.1 x 5.9 inch.
