Made by ‘J.C. Mertens ‘ after own design. Johannes Cornelis Mertens (1745-1821) was a painter, draughtsman and pastellist from Amsterdam. He was a pupil of Elliger and Quinkhard at the Amsterdam Academy.

Condition: Good, given age. Creasing as visible on scan. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
