Antique drawing, titled: ‘Hoffman’s Starke.’ – Original design for a commercial illustration for the starch producer Hoffman’s Starkefabriken in Bad Salzuflen, NRW, Germany, which went up into Reckitt Benckiser (UK) in 1990. This image shows 2 young ladies being offered a box of starch by an admiring young man. From a collection of drawings by Sundblad (see other listings). Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Gustav Sundblad’ after own design. Gustav Sundblad (Augsburg 1835-1891) was a German draftsman and lithographer active in Munich and Leipzig. He was a student of J.M. Veit.
Condition: Very good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
