Made by (possibly) to be attributed to Joannes Bemme after Joannes Bemme and Jan Asselijn.

Medium: Pen and washed ink drawing on wove (vellin) loosely mounted on carrier sheet paper.

Sheet size: 13.3 x 10.8 cm (5.24 x 4.25 inch). Image size: 13 x 10 cm. (5.12 x 3.94 inch).

Condition: very good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Based on the etching by Joannes Bemme and painting by Jan Asselijn.

Biography artist: Jan Asselijn (1610-1652) was a Dutch Golden Age painter renowned for landscapes and animal depictions. Joannes Bemme (1775-1841) was a skilled printmaker and artist active in the early 19th century.
