Antique drawing, untitled. This original antique miniature painting from ‘Bundi’ shows Krishna as a young cowherd (gopa), probably Indian /Mughal. An inscription in Nastaliq above the image.
Made by an anonymous engraver after anonymous.
Medium: Watercolour painting on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 14 x 20.5 cm (5.51 x 8.07 inch). Image size: 11 x 16 cm. (4.33 x 6.3 inch).
Condition: good, given age. A few tiny worm holes, hardly visible. Paper damp-stained, mostly in margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
