Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de banden van de geleding van den handwortel of de achterhand met de voorhand of middelhand, benevens de vanden van de vingeren en vingerleden” (the ligaments of the metacarpus with the middle hand or front of the hand). Plate XXIX, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
