Lithographed anatomical plate showing “de groote hersenen, alsmede eene afbeelding van het zamenstel en de gedaante der hersenen in het algemeen” (the cerebrum, and a view of the general shape of the brain). Plate LIII, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock. This, first, Dutch translation, was prepared and edited by S.J. Galama.Artists and Engravers: Lithographed by: A.J. Backer (Dordrecht). Printed by: G. Ypma (Franeker).

Condition: Very good, minimal age-related toning. Please study scan closely.
