Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de aangezigtszenuwen, zoo als dezelve onder de huid gelegen zijn” (the nerves of the face, as they lay under the skin). Plate CVIII from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
