Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de spieren van den linkerarm en het schouder, van de achterste of buitenste zijde gezien” (the muscles of the left arm and shoulder, seen from the rear and the side). Plate XXXIX, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
