Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de verschillende lagen spieren van den rug, zoodanig namelijk als dezelve zich van het achterhoofd af, langs de ruggegraat benedenwaarts, tot op het stuitbeen uitstrekken” (the various layers of muscle of the back, as they stretch from the back of the head, along the spine, to the coccyx). Plate XLI, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
