Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Rienk Jelgerhuis’ after own design. Rienk Jelgerhuis (Dutch; 1729-1806) was an important portrait artist, who came from Leeuwarden in Friesland. He later worked in Amsterdam. He wrote a treatise on the use of perspective and also invented special spectacles for drawing.
