Biography engraver: Pieter de Jode II (1606–1674) was a Flemish engraver, publisher, and draughtsman from Antwerp. Son of Pieter de Jode I, he became one of the leading reproductive engravers of the Baroque period, producing refined engravings after works by Van Dyck, Rubens, and other Flemish masters.
Biography artist: Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599–1641) was a Flemish Baroque painter and print designer, internationally renowned for his portraits of aristocrats, scholars, and artists. His Iconographie series became one of the most influential portrait print series of the 17th century.
