Medium: Hand-colored lithograph on Thin china paper attached to a wove (vellin) carrier (Chine collee) paper.

Sheet size: 39 x 45.5 cm (15.35 x 17.91 inch). Image size: 32.2 x 36.3 cm. (12.68 x 14.29 inch).

Condition: very good, given age. Light creasing, foxing and soiling. Small tear at bottom left paper edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography artist: Jacob van Ruisdael (c.1629-1682) was one of the most celebrated landscape painters of the Dutch Golden Age. His atmospheric, moody compositions deeply influenced Romantic landscape art in the 18th and 19th centuries. Sedlmayer was a 19th-century German lithographer active in Munich.
