BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Published by Cornelis Danckerts I in Amsterdam.

Biography engraver: Cornelis Danckerts I (1603-1656) was a Dutch engraver, printer, and publisher. Active in Amsterdam from around 1631. His publishing house grew into a well-known cartographic family business run by his descendants.
