Condition: very good, given age. Slightly lighter printed impression. Thin paper spot in top margin, bached. Tear in left margin, backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Hieronymus Hopfer (born c.1500 in Augsburg; died after 1550 in Nuremberg) was a German printmaker active ca. 1520-1550, known for his detailed etchings and affiliation with the Hopfer family of Augsburg. His works are often marked with the initials “IH.”.
