Biography engraver: Simon Wynouts Frisius (ca. 1580-1628) was a Dutch engraver, etcher, draughtsman and calligrapher, born in Harlingen. He spent a few years in Paris but returned to the Netherlands, where he would spend his final days in The Hague.
