Biography engraver: Jonas Suyderhoef (ca. 1613-1686), Dutch engraver from Haarlem, is known for his sharply detailed portrait engravings. He often worked in collaboration with painters like Pieter Soutman and played a key role in the reproduction of important portraits of historical figures.
Biography artist: Pieter Claesz Soutman (ca. 1593-1657) was a Dutch painter and print designer, court painter in Poland, and later active in Haarlem. He is known for his history paintings and portraits, many of which served as models for engravings.
