Biography engraver: Johannes Wierix (1549-c.1620) was a prolific Flemish engraver and draughtsman. Known for his meticulous technique and contributions to Counter-Reformation art, he worked for major publishers like Plantin and collaborated with artists such as Maerten de Vos. Despite a turbulent lifestyle, he produced an enormous volume of detailed engravings and miniature drawings.

Biography artist: Pieter van der Borcht I (c.1530-1608), Flemish Renaissance draughtsman and print designer, known for botanical illustrations and genre scenes. Collaborated extensively with the Plantin Press and introduced new satirical motifs like the singerie. His religious and scientific illustrations were influential across Europe.
