Biography engraver: Marco Sadeler was a member of the Sadeler family, a large and successful dynasty of Flemish engravers that were dominant in Northern European printmaking in the later 16th and 17th centuries. The Sadelers worked as both artists and publishers, and their work was often hard to distinguish due to the similarity in style.
