Original antique map showing a plan of the fortress of Bender, Moldova in 1789. The vignette at bottom right shows a tent with Russian soldiers tending a campfire with a caldron. The scroll at top right shows Bender in relation to surrounding towns and the conquest of the Russians over the Turks. Text below in German and French.
