‘SCHLACHT BEI ALLERHEIM, DEN 3. AUGUST 1645. ‘

This original antique plate shows the Battle of Nordlingen (or Battle of Allerheim) on August 3, 1645 southeast of Nordlingen near the village of Alerheim. France and its Protestant German allies defeated the forces of the Holy Roman Empire.

Steel engraving on wove (vellin) paper.

Condition: good, given age. Paper slightly browned and light foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
