Antique print, titled: ‘Moses.’ – A large plate with the portrait of Moses holding the Stone Tablets with the Ten Commandments. In the margin four scenes from the life of Moses: top – the people of Israel receiving the Laws, right – Moses and the brass serpent, bottom – Moses in front of the Tabernacle, left – Moses striking water form the rock. Lithographed by H.J. Backer.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘F. Kellerhoven’. Franz Kellerhoven (ca. 1814-1872) was a painter and made book illustrations.

Condition: Very good, given age. Faint thumbing in the margin edges. 10 Commandment printed on thin china paper attached to larger sheet (chine collee / applique). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
