Maaskamp in Amsterdam, ca. 1800. Printed in a dark brown ink. Numbered #2.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Hendrik Spilman’ after ‘A. de Haan’. Hendrik / Henricus Spilman (1721-1784) was a Dutch painter, designer and etcher from Amsterdam, active in Haarlem. He was a pupil of Abraham de Haen II. His style resembles A. van Everdingen and N. Berghem. He made mostly town and city views. Abraham de Haan / Haen II / the younger (1707-1748) was a Dutch landscape artist and engraver from Amsterdam. He was a pupil of Cornelis Pronk.
Condition: Excellent, given age. Small holes in left margin from binding in wrapper. Paper edges a bit irregular. Light soiling at paper edges. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
